While I haven't been a perfectionist, I'll admit that it took a while to figure out how to write a novel and to get over the must fix before a draft gets finished. But with practice I've gotten used to "allowing the first draft to suck" because I know that it is easier to fix a written page than a blank one.
It may never be the same as the image in my head, but I've learned to appreciate the result that does come out. Hope you find the methods that work for you too.
