Noticing Newbies

I was told to introduce myself, and I always do as I'm told.
My name is Andrea Colford, I'm nearly 22 years old and I've been writing since I can remember.
While I was in high school, before iPads and having your own laptop was a thing, I would sit in my single bed and write.
Mostly I would write about things I wished I was experiencing. I lived vicariously through the characters I created.

When I got my first boyfriend, surprisingly I felt less inspired. I'm not sure if it was because he was awful and stole my muse, or because I no longer felt I needed to escape my life. Whatever it may have been I stopped.

I'm sad to say I stopped for a long time. I got swept away by electronics. I wish I could say life, but that wasn't it. I would still journal, but I wouldn't write pieces. I would just write about my struggles, my relationships. It wasn't until recently that I realized how much I missed it. So, I'm getting back on the horse.

I've had teachers and friends tell me I'm a good writer, but now I need to see how many people in my life have been lying to me.

I'm going to be posting some of my older stuff as well as new stuff, and I would love constructive criticism.
