Noticing Newbies

What you search depends on your interests. If you like writing poetry, for example, you can be a member of a poetry group or a novel writing group, if you are writing a novel.

If you find a group you like, you can try to e-mail the group leader, but first check the group's page. There might be a survey for becoming a member.

But even before joining a group, why not read and review some of the writing on the site, so people get to know you, you can find out where you stand, and make a few friends in the process?

There are many things you can do to acclimate yourself to the site, for example adding chapters to a few interactives. Interactives are stories that any member can add to. Use the search function to find the interactive that may suit you.

Also, you can enter contests. Daily contests such as "The Writer's Cramp"  and "Daily Flash Fiction Challenge"  are great to begin with.

And if you need help, feel free to e-mail me or other writers on the site. Depending on their time, most of our members love to help each other.
