Hi MaryLou, and welcome to Writing.Com. I'm truly impressed that you've not let your disability define you, but choose to use it as an inspiration to others. Lord knows we can use all the inspiration we can get in today's world.
May I offer you some advice about posting in forums? I'll try not to get too technical.
Your initial post in this message thread was actually an answer to my post to OrcaNerd. That means that although you were trying to post a general hello, your response actually came to me and not the general forum readers. Only those persons reading this particular thread found your post. That in itself is not bad, but it limits your readership.
If you wish to post an initial message in any forum, use the Post a New Message link above the forum posts. If you're already in a thread and wish to post a new message, use the Post New link above. Finally, If you wish to answer a particular post, be sure the post to which to wish to respond has a in front of that post in the Message Thread.
Navigating this site can be a challenge at times, but I have no doubt with a little practice, you'll be a pro soon. And don't hesitate to ask for help if you get stuck. We love helping new (and seasoned) folks. Oh, one last thing. Be sure to check the box below the Reply box that says "Check to be emailed when someone replies." This way you'll receive an email when someone replies to your post. It's just another way to be sure you're notified when you post something.
