Noticing Newbies

Hi, new here and thought I might introduce myself.

I am 27 and from Australia. I have been a casual writer all of my life, jumping from one hobby to the next, but always coming back to writing. So, about a year ago I decided to make it my number one hobby at all times. The only thing in my way was depression, no motivation, and other varying degrees of mental illness. I have been focusing on fixing myself for the past year, and now that I am almost there, it is time to actually start focusing on my writing!

So, that is one if the many reason why I am here: to refine, polish, and above all else - learn. (Also, to see what I can do and try to build some sort of confidence with my writing ability - which is currently at zero confidence.)

Also, it would be good to meet other writers, seeing though most of the people I know aren't big creative types.
