Noticing Newbies

I posted some time ago with my concern about material being stolen if I post here.

I am not a trained writer or journalist, but I have a hell of a story to tell. I am ready to share a small portion of it, but I am still nervous. Like dropping off my baby at a new babysitter for the first time.

Outside of writing I am not shy, but with writing...I feel that I am showing a naked part of myself. Does that make sense?

Just a little push, a little encouragement. I have no writing network of friends to lean on, no mentors, nothing. Just me and my mind. I have been a member of this site for a bit now but have always hesitated to share. I think I'm ready.

I now stand at the edge of the writing pool, ready to dive in.
