Noticing Newbies

Well, I signed up to writing.com a couple of years ago and I'm finally back to take advantage of all that is on offer here.
I have just signed my first contract with a publisher after tossing around the idea of self publishing. In the end I decided that as a first time author, the guidance and experience of a publisher would be more beneficial than trying to navigate my way though self publishing.

I aim to write 1000 words every day. Sometimes I write 5000 and sometimes I only just scrape in for the 1000. But as long as I write something I feel like I am achieving something.

Deadlines. They suck. There is nothing worse than trying to run a household with three young boys and an adorable husband who works long hours, studying part time from home AND trying to reach a deadline at the same time. But, it keeps me honest and on my toes, albeit a little sleep deprived!

I am looking forward to spending more time here learning and being creative!
