Hi DMEL Author IconMail Icon,

Welcome to WDC. I am going to tell you what i do when I want ideas. I just start writing and ideas flow. Sometimes I spend some alone time, twisting and changing stories and characters in my mind until I get an idea that I like. I also like reading what other write. Of course I don't copy what they have, but I get inspired by their stories and write my own. Mine usually turns out so different. So you can read a variety of stories to get inspired. Also, writing for a contest or for a prompt can give you ideas to extend your story. Listening to music, watching movies, getting out to do different things can give you ideas. Taking a break and coming back to your story later might make you view your story in a new perspective and help you come up with ideas.

My God! I spoke so much. Feel free to email me if you have any questions.

Regards,

Aisha.
