Noticing Newbies

Hello, fellow writers! My name is Ami, and I'm a young aspiring author (a rare breed, I'm sure) with a love of all things fantasy, sci-fi, and adventurous. I've been searching for a friendly place to post my work and start acquiring the feedback I need to make myself a better writer, and this seems like as good a place as any to set up shop.

Hopefully soon I'll be able to start posting the first chapters of a Redwall fanfiction I've been working on, and, once I'm done with that, use the experience to move on to more original stories. This will be my first foray into fiction writing, as my only significant writing experience previously was with my high school newspaper, where I mostly worked on video game-related reviews and columns (I actually won second place for column writing in a state-wide competition at one point).
