I joined about a month ago, but have only just started to get familiar with it within the past week. I'd like to make some valuable connections with other avid writers who truly want to better their skills and help me with mine.
I am a high school English teacher and I tend to stay true to my correcting habits: reading, noting down comments and places to go back to look at again, errors, successes, and suggestions. I am by no means expecting this type of review in return, that just happens to be my method. All I want is honest, constructive criticism - I want to learn, get perspective, work on my weaknesses, enhance my strengths, and just develop as a writer. I also want to help others evolve. Short reviews, long reviews, brief comment, full analysis; it is all welcomed.
Another thing. Is there anything within the site that I should definitely check out, do, read, etc.? I just keep bouncing around not knowing where to really start, haha. I feel like a little kid in a toy store.
