I am not sure when this forum was created, but in the few months I have been a member of "The Art of Criticism Project" I can verify that PatrickB and crew work weekly on making this project successful. Why it is successful is because of innovation, cunning and hard work on the part of the forum create a desire in me to do my best. This is helping me hone my craft in ways I never thought possible.

was started, but in the six plus months I have been a participant, I have improved my writing / reviewing / participation overall because making goals is the only way to achieve anything we work for. Some people may luckily just fall into being a paid / published writer, but most of us must set aside time and effort to create the habits of writing regularly, making reviewing an important part of our learning, and we need someone to answer to when we make or break our goals.

The most difficult to decide is the writing submission contests I participate in... I love the "The Hint Fiction Contest"  but it has been around since 2007. It is hard work to come up with a "complete" story in 55 words or less. The newest Short Short contest is from M.A.GEORGE , it is called the

. This contest is a good way to enhance writing ability, and M.A.GEORGE is an awesome reviewer and writer, so all entrants will be effected in a positive manner - win or lose.
