My First Real Goal
by A Non-Existent User
I've been writing this novel since June. I've currently written 20 chapters on it and I have reached my all time high of words, pages and chapters written on a single story. I've never finished a book in my life, in fact I usually chicken out after the first two chapters and give up. But not this story. Apparently this story wants... no... NEEDS to be told. But now I've reached a point where I don't know where I want the story to go. I had a pretty outline for the rest of the book, but the story started writing itself about four chapters ago and I've completely lost track of where it was supposed to head. I guess what I am trying to say is, my first real writing goal is a two parter. I want to be three steps closer to finishing (3 more chapters written this week at the very most), but I also want to figure out which direction it is trying to go in so that I can be prepared to meet my ultimate goal of finishing the book by Christmas. These are my goals, in my own, long winded fashion. I don't know if they really count, but they are what's pressing on my mind strongly.
