Things were underway to RE-Open our annual autumn contest Sept past. So enough already. I first read this when it appears as a contest forum entry. The shocking theme of monster-kills-victim places the child, Lily as a contemporary Rosemary's Baby in a sense to moi. Carriage (pram} sun rising on Hill manor, the Hills, themselves, the little boy. Oh my. How we are led. The story fits similarities seen onsite in mode of a wc style. We are not about to wax maudlin and not see that wc style-overall is adol LIT & high school Comp 101. While in reality world (digital or print) anthologies of traditional length short stories are out there to chew upon with every meal. We may more than snack upon the surrounds of what a short story means by definition as we devour these treats, offsite. Arthor Conon Doyle is online! I for one hope the sameness in wc writing wanes at long last. TEFF came to this site in Ought Four. Scuse my pontification, S. sinolebb Warily we come a-writing. One year we'll realise onsite as writers we may grab creations without looking over our shoulders. Then shall come to pass for many more --- joyfully we come composing. And YES!! We know onsite we have great writers. LOVE HURTS clocks in as well done. Writers may: Step into the authors shoes, fill the world with http://www.writing.com presenting true gems. Enjoying same, reaching for wins. Each short story should be among the latter. Always the case for serious writers.
