I have recently been awarding review credits through a person's review tab or public review page. Until I read this part of SM's reply, I never considered the point he's making.
While we don't stop the author who receives a review from rewarding off the public review page, our goal is to make sure that the majority of rewarding of reviews comes from "3rd party" viewers of the reviews.
The post gave me a deeper understanding of rewarding reviewers. SM is one guy. Over and over again, I'm impressed by all he has accomplished.
