How about setting some goals for yourself that you feel more comfortable achieving? Anybody in your position would feel overwhelmed. Just ask Storm Machine what it's like to NaNo with two kids!
Could you try to complete the required assignments? There's a nice prize for those who fall behind but manage to complete the prep in October.
You may not realistically be able to write 50k words after giving birth, but could you give yourself a smaller word count goal? Could you plan time within your day to write, or give yourself permission to write two or three days a week? The spirit of NaNo is to compete against yourself, not others. Would you feel like you've accomplished something if you wrote 25k words in November, with a newborn and a toddler? 15k? Maybe you just need to alter your realistic expectations of yourself and head toward that goal.
