Weekly Goals

I got nothing else done today. Couldn't marshall my thoughts or creativity. Spent all day surfing various forums and futzing around on Facebook. Funny how that stuff can literally swallow an entire day.

I think I'm just sick of anything that has to do with my novel. I've burnt out on it a bit and need to let it lie for a few more days, at least. But I'm trying not to lose steam on this novel. I don't want it to sit and stagnate on my hard drive, doing nothing for no one. I'll keep after myself to tinker and improve. And get after my friends to read it faster and give me their opinions. And I'll pick up that synopsis, too, with fresh eyes, maybe trim it down even more. My goal is a page and a half, down from just under two.

The query letter, too, will receive attention in due time.

In the meantime, at least I'm writing stuff in forums--mainly my opinions--so I'm keeping my hand in
