If we're discussing how annoyed the people we love are with our plans for NaNo, my friends don't even have to be told. They know it's almost October, so they've already begun shifting their plans around and planning for me to be on limited availability for the next month, then completely AWOL in November, and so cracked come December that I won't know my own name, much less theirs. It's like a resigned shuffling completely devoted to how insane I get the last quarter of the year. Even my store manager knows about it, and she sets my schedule in stone for November so I know exactly when I'm working.
It's quite fun, and really accommodating. But it's hilarious, as well, once they realize the spring in my step means it's NaNo time.
