Noticing Newbies

Hi,

I've returned to creative writing after almost 25 years dealing with legalese. I'm finding it a bit harder making the transition to right-brain thinking after so many years. I joined this community hoping that being surrounded by writers dedicated to their craft will rub off on me. :)

I wrote a great deal in my youth, but only a few fanfiction pieces recent years. I've also blogged intermittently for the past three years but that still not challenging enough to help me grow as a writer. My dream is to write the Great Novel (who doesn't) or at least draft a psycho-thriller or mystery that people will want to read and find entertaining. I also dabble in drawing (pastels and pencils). I love reading any type of genre, but do prefer a good whodunit.
