Noticing Newbies

I finally took my creative writing teacher's advice and joined this site... I am so going to miss him.
What finally pushed me to join though was my little sister. I wanted advice on a story I've been writing for what seems forever, but all she says is that I need to write more. Which is good, but I want to know if it truly is good or if my sis is just being a sis. But the fact that in just three weeks I move away for college also pushed me, because I won't have my old creative writing teacher to bounce ideas off of.

So even though I am new, I have very high hopes that I can use this cite as a way to not only make my stories and overall writing better but a place I can show off all of my writing off and a place where I can meet people to bounce ideas off of.
