Hi Marci, and welcome to Writing.Com. I'm sure you'll find lots of help regarding your youngsters and reading. There are several groups on WDC that focus on kids--some for teens, others for younger ones. One teen group comes to mind:

I suggest you take some time to complete your BioBlock (on your main Portfolio page), and your Biography tab. This will help other members with similar interest find you and perhaps strike up a conversation about young ones.
