Hi Jen and welcome to Writing.Com. Great timing on your part. You've arrived just in time for WDC's 13th Birthday celebrations. There'll be lots of opportunities to exercise that fiction writing for contests across the site.

I'd like to offer a couple suggestions to you. First, take a moment to fill out your BioBlock or Biography tab. Folks that have similar interests will be able to seek you out more easily. And it's always nice to know who your chatting with.

Second, when you post your work, add a title and description that reflects what your story is about. Many folks use these items to determine whether they want to read something. Think of these as a teaser to gain a reader's interest.
