A place to get together and chat about mental illness or about whatever is on your mind. |
At 75, I take two medications a day to keep clinical depression at bay. We who suffer are fortunate the research provides anti depressants. In 1975 there was only one medication; it helped me survive. Since then there continue to be new 'families' of medications helping us more. It's important to recognize when a medication has quit working, immediately see our physician to get a new one. The biggest problem for us NOW is that very few psychiatrists take MEDICARE patients. Mine went to California and I've been looking for ten months to no avail in Portland, Oregon area. DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A PSYCHIATRIST HERE WHO ACCEPTS MEDICARE? I write all my thoughts about depression in my portfolio, with hope I can help someone with their illness. ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only **
