The best example I can give right now, is when most of the activities finish, people write Close and do not make it Private and there are instances when people post without noticing that it is closed. Happened with me a few times.

Also suppose there is a birthday forum for someone, and after the birthday, when all gifts are sent, it can be set to locked so that everyone can see how the birthday event went and who gave what and when and to avoid posting (some people post later)

If a forum with review packages for sale is there and it has gotten maximum amount of review orders to be completed, the other packages have to be on Hold, we can lock the forum so that no one posts and later unlock. I myself, do not want my activities kept private but seen to everyone but they should not be able to post. *Smile*
