Movie Talk

This is an action packed movie starring Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart, Angela Basset, and Morgan Freeman. I may be a little biased against movies that depict our military doing less than I 'think' they can do, but it's still a movie I can recommend. I will say that I thought it depicted our arrogance in believing this couldn't happen very well. In case you don't know, the White House is brazenly attacked in broad daylight by terrorists from North Korea (sound a bit like the real world now?). Gerard is a former Secret Service agent working in the Treasury, and manages to enter the White House in the middle of the battle. However, the terrorists have already kidnapped the President and his staff. Now it's up to him to eliminate them and rescue the President. The action is intense and will keep you on the edge of your seat. Some of it is a little unbelievable (at least for this former sailor), but I think it would hold the average American entranced throughout.
