"I like in particular your didactuve introduction “Steampunk is a genre and a subculture that's all about a past that wasn't. We feel free to reinvent that past however we see fit " "Steampunk is a form of speculative fiction that deals primarily in anachronism and alternative universes. It’s roots lie in adventure, romance, and re-imaginative technology." you would have added that this type of fiction is out to cure the ills of battered history, much of history is battered, this type of fiction will really cure them ,

"Wow great piece. I never had an idea about this genre. It seems quite exciting, and might inspire me to write using this genre. I think I should some steam punk stories or maybe novels to get the jist of it. I still can't understand it completely, ulternate universes, clocks, victorian eras? i should read the stories featured here.

"First Thoughts: This is an educational newsletter. The first article answered some of my questions about SteamPunk. It also aroused my curiosity about this genre.

My favorite: I like the graphic at the beginning of this newsletter because it expresses the essence of the newsletter and of the genre.

Final Thoughts: This is a well-planned and educational newsletter. Write on.
