"f I follow you correctly then you are talking Twilight Zone type stuff here right? I was not familiar with the term "steampunk" until tonight. Of course I am sure there are going to be genres that I will encounter on here that I will not be familiar with. I write mainly poetry and short stories. "I enjoyed reading this article. I often thought that Steam Punk was a thing of the 'naughties' and did not realise it's more fuller history. It has inspired me to research more into the whole culture. Who knows, it may even inspire me to write a story or two.

"This is a great newbie intro to Steampunk. I am just racking my brain trying to find some hint as to WHERE the term "Steampunk" came from. How was it developed and named? More so, how was it named? Then you threw "Dieselpunk" in the mix and I'm all confused. Is it just past fantasy/sci-fi vs. future fantasy/sci-fi? Interesting.
