Good afternoon,

I hope everyone had a great holiday season and is off to a wonderful new year.

I wanted to take a moment and reflect as we approach 150 members.

I started this group out of a love of Sci-Fi and Fantasy. Having a degree in Astrophysics and understanding that science fiction is tomorrows science fact, I wanted to join forces with the great people on WdC who share my love of science and writing. That is the main reason why I created this group and was amazed at how many people joined just in the first few months!

I have gone through some major life changes in the last year or so with a divorce and moving from TX to CA. My current field of IT keeps me pretty busy most days and just moved into a larger house and actually have another child on the way.

I do hope to get back into WdC and writing full swing in the coming months once I can get my office set up at home so I can have time to think and reflect and most importantly write and interact with the awesome people involved in The SFWG as well and here in WdC Land.

I know life happens to everyone and priorities shift constantly from writing to career and to family; I just wanted to acknowledge this great group of sharp and creative people and thank you for being involved.

Keep on Writing and Keep on Dreaming!!!
