Letter From Home for Christmas - Contest

Dear American Hero,

The holiday season is approaching once again. Here in Oklahoma City, it still feels like summer. The high was 76 degrees! If it was not for the Christmas lights, I would not think it was Christmas.
Thank you for everything that you are doing for our country. It must be hard for you. However, I know that you know in your heart what you are doing for this country is the best Christmas present that anyone can ever give someone.
This year has gone by so fast for me. It seems like just yesterday I was saying happy new year to my family. The one thing that I hate about Christmas is having to deal with the mobs of people at our local Walmart store. We only have two cashiers at any given time so it can take an hour just to get to the register. ( I actually think that is the same situation at every Walmart.) It is the second of December and I still have not done my shopping. I just wanted to say thank you for everything that you are doing for our country. Merry Christmas.
