My story has two main characters. Matt starts by finding he has a grandmother no one wants to talk about or will tell him what happened to her. He gets the bug to research her whereabouts much to the consternation of his two uncles.
The second part of the story is what happened to Grandmother Katherine. Her story covers just a spring through the winter. We know what happened to keep the family apart from Katherine's story. The end is Matt finding Katherine.
In writing this story, should I write Matt's full story then go on to Katherines? or should I do a chapter of each? Has anyone done this type of story? I am fearful that the story wont sound continuous if I try the back and forth, but any ideas? The whole thing might be just 50-60K.
