October Novel Prep Challenge

FYI-my novel is based on an indecent I read from a fellow student. The idea intrigued me so much I asked if he minded that I take that incident and adapt it in a different way completely. I gave him my plot and he was fine with it. I took one thing and made it my own with his permission. He has a great story based on fact. I will have a great different story. Only if someone reads both our stories back to back will they read at the end there is one common incident. All writers deviate from what they read but I asked permission because it was the right thing to do.
