It's not your fault your daughter is bipolar!!!! Deanna is right, it's like eye or hair color. My late grandfather was bipolar but wasn't diagnosed until he was in his 60s or 70s. Back then, they didn't really know what it was. Everyone just thought he was "eccentric".
I have OCD and several anxiety disorders, as do many of my relatives. However, both my sisters are fine. My mom has some anxiety/OCD but nowhere near the severity I do.
Have you looked into aid for help? Resources are out there for mental health.
