Bipolar can be hereditary, but that doesn't mean that you are at fault. That is just the way it is. Just like you having brown hair and your daughter having brown hair (or whatever color). Having said that, your other daughter might be just fine. My grandmother has bipolar, my mother doesn't, but I do, but my brother doesn't. So you never really know how the genetics will work.
Also, it is never too late to start taking medication for yourself. Why do you feel that you have to "just live with it?"
