Actors, actresses, movies, TV -- It's the 'Golden Globe' of Writing.Com! Quill Nominee |
I have seen the movie two times one was a school trip to see it and the other was so I can make this review. I really don't understand why a lot of people like this movie/book. First off I'll start with what really made this movie terrible the plot, I normally like plots like this but when its been done multiple time then it gets a little boring. One of the movies that the Hunger Games ripped off is Battle Royal, the plots are pretty much identical. Another movie is The Running Man, now the Hunger Games didn't completely steal the plot from the Running man as it did with Battle Royal, buts its close. The acting some of the acting from the adults was ok nothing that will win any academy awards or even nominations. The acting from the teens was terrible, I didn't see or feel any strong emotions from any of the actors/actress and for the type of movie that this is you need them to have a lot of strong emotions. The dialogue was pretty bad too, there was a lot of dialogue that in the book so that's most likely the reason why it was was so bad. Finally the action witch is what I was hoping was going to be the best part of the movie boy was I wrong. The action was boring you could barely tell what was happening because of a very shaky camera. I lot of people have told me that they did that to make it seem more real or so that it was supposed represent chaos, so tell me this why isn't the camera shaky in the Batman movies? I thought the whole point of a action movie was to watch the action not to get a horrible headache. Overall I thought this movie was over-hyped and overrated. I can't blame all of this on the actors/actress or the filmmakers most of the blame goes to the author who made this boring book, I felt that the book was worse than the movie the book actually made me fall asleep which it very rare for me to fall asleep while reading I am suggesting this movie for people who like getting a headache during a movie, and for people who like terrible acting and a plot that has been done too many times. Rating:1/5 five stars (it would have been zero but it did have a pretty good jump scene) |
