I have added the prompts to give writers plenty of choices to make. I do not intend to make it as an ''history'' assignment. I have clearly stated in the rules here:
7. You are allowed to add imaginary characters and you can turn the prompts the way you like. Be creative! You do not have to stick to historical characters if you don't know much about the civil war. I would like to see your interpretation of these prompts, these events which I have posted. The facts aren't as important in this contest as your creativity. I want you to write about the Civil War from your imagination. What happened? Who did it? Why did they do it?
