If I may interject, fine gentlemen, the Leviathan series by Scott Westerfield is a wonderful addition to the steampunk genre. It is Young Adult, but the characters procure your imagination quickly and I simply devoured the three books.
To stick with the original query, I wasn't even aware that a steampunk comic series existed, though I assure you I will begin searching for it, post-haste.
