After you save the chat transcript, you can edit it using a program such as MS Word and change all instances of the 'handles' to the actual names. This will solve the issue of 'after' the meetings. As far as during goes, well, is it a bad thing to learn people by both their username and real name? I can see many benefits within the site to that. Just a thought.
