Just wondering if it's possible to have a promotion box on the front page (similar to review requests) for us to manually enter our blog entries so we can garner more readers? Seeing as blog writing is considered an essential tool for writers, it makes sense for such a big destination as WDC to have a serious blogging platform available. Having a place to promote individual blog entries, and not just the whole blog carte blanche, is of the utmost importance to giving writing 2.0 (ie. blog writing) a fair go. As blog entries are linked to as { entry } we cannot showcase them on any of the other usual routes, like the review request page. Blog Entries don't really belong in the review request line anyway, as it is comments bloggers seek and not reviews for the most part. Also, an incentive program for blog comments would be very cool, but that's a topic for another discussion. In the comments of this blog entry, some of us talk about some options for an incentive program. What wouldn't work and why, that kind of thing. "Invalid Entry" Also, this thread/discussion began in the non-technical support forum, where a couple of other bloggers offer their support/opinions on the matter. http://www.writing.com/main/forums/action/view/message_id/2358927/thread/1 As for the recent blog list, that is all good and well for folks who are blog hunting but what needs to change is the casual WDC users awareness of blog entries available. (hence blog entry promotion box on front page where they would see it whether they want to or not ;) ). Not trying to step on anybody's toes, just talking it up. ---
