A new genre?

I've noticed that sometimes when I do reviews I come across one that I can't actually define what genre it is. About the closest I can come to one would be a 'narration', or perhaps a 'narrative'. It's generally described as an 'account' or an 'episode'. Has WdC ever considered using one of these terms for a new genre? Just a suggestion. Any response would be appreciated. Thanks for such a wonderful site. WdC rules, and I don't know how I lived without it! -Angus-
