I have a wife called Emily, and a daughter called Victoria. I have a brother called Neil and a sister called Angela – both older than me.

How did you find Writing.Com?
I was looking for a writing app for my iPhone, when I saw the website in the description of one. Haven’t got the app yet, but loving the website – although I’m a bit confused by it.

How did you find "I.N.K.E.D." ?
I was looking through the forums (fora? – I’ve never been sure!) and saw the coffee lounge. At first I didn’t realise it related to a particular group, so I almost did this questionnaire before applying to join the group!

Writing Questions
Who are your favorite authors?
I love classic fiction (Dickens, Hardy, Trollope etc) and historical fiction (I’ve read all of Bernard Cornwell’s Sharpe books and I’m working my way through Patrick O’Brian’s Aubrey-Maturin books).

What type of writing is your passion?
I’m writing my other daughter’s biography, so that will be my writing passion.

What genres are you interested in writing? (Or reading?)
Writing: one biography, then maybe specialising in writing for people with learning disabilities.

What do you hope most to gain by being an active member on this site?
An obvious answer, but I’m hoping to develop my skills as a writer, and get objective feedback on what I’m writing. Of course, that is al dependent on how much I give to other members.

What's one thing about this site that you like so far?
People are friendly and willing to help.

What are some things you feel other members may be able to help you with?
Giving directions to various parts of the site and how to use it, other useful forums for the genres I want to write, and writing tips and tricks.

If you could give one piece of writing advice, what would it be?
Follow your instincts.

What's the best piece of writing advice you've ever received?
LOL the last time I wrote creatively I was at school, so I can’t remember!

I’d have a house with a garden for Victoria my daughter.

Goodness, I have no idea!

Invest in my wife’s business – knowing she’ll turn it into 20,00 or more!
