I just joined writing.com as I search for resources that will help me start to write freelance on the side. I really enjoy the layout of your community and think I could fit in here. It's nice to see a writing community that values poetry and not just blog posts and copy-writing for profit.
I just have a few questions about writing if anybody has a minute to answer:
1. What are good sites to find jobs for beginning writers?
2. What steps would you recommend for me to start a site for my services? I have a blog, a google site and a portfolio site, I just don't know how to attract anyone to my services.
3. This is going to sound really douchey but I promise it's only for lack of credentials. Could I post an image of your ACT score or AP English Exam score as credential on my site? I don't even think high school matters but it's really the only official proof that I can write well besides my portfolio.
Thanks for your help!
Hope everyone is enjoying the beginning of 2012.
