The Steampunk Boiler Room

Okay, my turn. For me. I learned about SteamPunk from CeruleanSon when I joined the Rising Stars program. When he told me about it, I was instantly intrigued. I loved reading Wells and Verne as a kid, but I never knew the name of the actual genre. I think it's just a great read. I've been thinking about writing it since I joined this group, and now my NaNo Novel for this year will be SteamPunk. I think it will be a challenge because I'll have to do a little more research, most likely, to make it believable - but then again, it's sort of an alternate history, so I guess I can make up a few things, can't I? I always like a good challenge, and SteamPunk seems like a great challenge to me. I love reading it, so I may as well try my hand at writing it, too!
