This is a guy flick. My male roommate watches it once a month, religiously. Although Willem Dafoe is in it, who plays the main detective, basically it is about two Irish Americans who get tired of the Russian Mafia bullying their Boston buddies and pub owner friend, so they take matters into their own hands, and the Irish-American neighborhood gives them the title of "Saints".
It is a violent, though sometimes funny and witty film. Worth seeing once. In some ways, it is a cult classic.
