5 Day Assignment
Teacher eyes glow with the excitement
Of catching a kid without the homework

I take it home and promise myself
"I'll do it tonight, then it'll be over with."
But first I need to check my email

What if one of my classmates needs help on something?
What if there's an emergency with Mom or Dad?
Check for messages seems like a good decision.

No messages. But wait—there might be some on YouTube.
Maybe I have 20 new subscribers?
No...

Hmm, I'm hungry.
I'll have toast.
Mmm...toast.

Oh, see, now I have to use the bathroom.
My assignments stare at me, laughing their heads off.
I'll be right back.

Okay, time for homework.
