Genre Discussion: Graphic Novels
Last week's topic...not so popular.

That's okay, I'll push on. I like to ramble *Bigsmile*

Graphic Novels - okay, so like picture-free novels, they're not really a genre themselves. They run the same gamut: science fiction, fantasy, romance, mainstream, YA, adult - there are a lot of them there.

And ten years ago, in the US anyway, graphic novel really just meant a thicker compilation of your favorite comic book series.

It's not the same now. Even main stream authors are writing the scripts for/inspiring graphic novels. Saw one by Dean Koontz a couple of months ago.

Is it a medium that has staying power? Is it just a trend that won't last long enough for people to jump on the bandwagon? Does anyone read them besides teenagers? (and me).
