Bug: diacriticals in popnotes / dropnotes
by A Non-Existent User
Diacritical marks confuse popnotes and dropnotes. I expect this is a result of the ampersand-code conflicting with the "close" mark for the popnote/dropnote quote?

Anyway, compare:

{popnote:"J'ai dansé"}I danced.{/popnote}

{dropnote:"J'ai dansé"}I danced{/dropnote}

{popnote:"J'ai danse"}I danced{/popnote}

{dropnote:"J'ai danse"}I danced{/dropnote}

{popnote:"J'ai dansé"}I danced.

{dropnote:"J'ai dansé"}I danced

J'ai danse

J'ai danse

In a similar vein, character counts in I&Os are inconsistent. If a ' or a " or similar mark is used - at least in I & Os without writingML - the character-count is off: I believe it is converting those marks into their ampersand (or whatever) representation before counting the characters. But perhaps this is unavoidable (if using a 255-char array for the post-processing characters?)
