You know, I wish there'd come a day when these NL were not only commented upon, read or favored by the silent majority of this CLUB we call "Invalid Item"  after these are recorded here ... But alas in 2010 there seems (so far) "to be nothing for it." The latter a cliche used when non participation amounts to the CLUB surround. YET, the private side of things provides a rush. Like when EMBE embe   posted the first poem @ this annual Fall contest. You may read this poet's portfolio ++ newer poetry @ "Invalid Item" BEST look kindly on all CLUB members who do take a moment to let their attention turn toward matters at hand. Your words are most appreciated. This is a site set up to practically genuflect with wows from Yawsa-ville for brief works, review comments, etc. (I haven't been rewarded by any, In-Depth REV folks for years. Well, the public (site) allusion that my revs aren't any of the better ones. Nor is TEFF other than unworthy, a premise which never runs its course. Used to be, I quoted HODGES & HARBRACE inside a rev, that ENGLISH language ken's seriousness became recognized by the time the week was over. Now, gone, all gone & for what?) Authors own their own logical conclusions. No doubt. Suppose we may go: Some People (really non-clone or clone alike) hardly write at all in six months. Others remain prolific. The lure of the yellow case syndrome comes with congrats, while decent works of better value or credible advice per se --- too off the beaten path are often ignored. We may always check who writes what from the so-called peers, how does that piece fare? When you find yourself saying -- wow this is terrible and this person's work is both bad & boring ... so pointless, no voice, no style ... or that person is not doing a bit of good, yet claiming to know more than a fifth grader ... God, look at them all, won't you? Their stuff is poor quality, yet they are so forceful, being inside the throes of feedback handouts ... watch out for these ports filled with not much. Or if very brave, put on a noseplug, snoop about in their besties --- from what 2003? Does a snob cartel prevail? NO! Well, TEFF early on spotted much bogus writing info. It's all over the I-net, referred to via flubbing as "dummy down advice." But it sticks, becomes passed from person to listening person, then used to bite off creativity. Therefore, often actually harmful to those not in-the-know. Whenever one discovers an awful phenomenon where all writing sounds, looks, ends up --- the same, take heed, my dears. Be honest. Worse, people who read this sameness writing think they are far advanced because they are slightly better. It became so that there are nearly twenty blocked user names in my list. Yet, contentment lingers inside WRITERS WAR, where an open unknown audience is appealed to. When we only write for say specific audiences, other than a genre affiliate of reader pref, we lose. BEST of all, most of us know these things. When one only writes for say a website of poor writers (overall) which even these so-called, high & mighty "echelon" rev groups admit at the drop of a broken beer bottle that they find writers can't write at wc** and I read & recorded those ejaculations in article spoofs & to memory in the last six years ... well, better writers want to ask .. WHY? BYW, I don't agree that most wc writers can't write, need help, must improve, etc. ** Accounts for the need to over correct all a writer produces, and it was apparent in the last three years here. Some on wc follow like sheep, others clone their flock, but hopefully this premise is fading. WHY? Hell, we surpassed it, held the course, did not allow such subterfuge to block our paths to being appropriate, writing writers of value & worth. Thus we overcame snobbery or the-wrong-ways when encountered, you see? To start with -- to say such things (e.g) all characters must: blank, blank, blank is a travesty. Things like smarty up could be posted here. Things like TEFF's offer: We will accept your next NL -- go unheard. Now, here's a true story. I got a note the other day, from a wc non-member. The man stated to me that he had read almost everything I wrote when it was open. He identified himself appropriately, then said he missed my blogs, and thanked me for writing what I did. That was a real trip. Recently, I've been asked to please re-open my blog NOT as in start anew, from a few other sources as well. The answer is being calculated for pros & cons on that particular issue, at this desk. Why risk copycatting *** a randomized, TEFF term for swiping content by re-wording, whereas anyone on the I-net runs with the ball, (re-writes) and I don't see a single dime once more. I was burn in 2009 & 2010!! This is not my only spot to linger. Nor yours, and that too accounts for your time spent, of course!!! Even for the sake of any mini popularity by topic take --- remaining unsure about opening lovable blogs these days. So, all CLUB members are now being asked to consider submitting to the FRONTLINERS NL, joining there if not already a FRONTLINER, becoming a bit active, like us. AND CLUB, you may also write a NL to this group, choosing your own topic. Now, entering the TWILIGHT ZONE, thass when I cross my fingers, grab the holy water and edit the forum intro for seasonal sake. Be ready for it to malfunction, close up faster than a state budget gone amok. So, as I mistakenly emailed the wrong copy of the NL here's the spell  version in the next post. Imagine my embarrassment. So apologies there.To save me a ton of wasted time during an ongoing weeding process, don't worry about self deleting as an ADC member. Absolutely -- No judgement call is made against anyone for that decision. I'm even sick to death asking for participation here. BUT I do note as is CLUB's annual way that contest aide or entries are part of this CLUB. As are edit sweeps @ "Invalid Item" This is a CLUB educational activity. Which can be used to share a new vocab word & a brief pen. Not hard at all, and one is added as an EDITOR at that point in time. So, do give that the look see. Since views here are a bit dim, shall email this post to "Invalid Item" Ta Ta, Cheerio. WRITE TODAY or sometime this week, you'll be glad you did ... trust me. When focus centers on rev writing only, everyone loses. Do let me make this clear, not one person at all is be singled out today in the cute lambasting above. I've already closed my articles which said close to the same damn thing previously, then walked on. In fact, I hope most of all that real folks focus on what works & what doesn't. Never who said this and who said that on WDC, not IF tied to bogus advice. That's trite he said/ she said and it is worthless, as you may concur. Research, by all means generally does answer writing hold-ups for each individual writers' needs. Even that may be questionable. Just because one provides a link, does not mean it is valid info.
