Is server space being wasted?

A search discloses nearly 9,000 contests on WDC. Many of them have been inactive for years. A few have been inactive for 9 years!

I suggest that if a contest has been inactive for more than 365 days, query the host about the inactivity. If the host doesn't respond, delete the contest and free the server space.
