If you are having trouble finishing, you might take a second look at the characters you have. I have found that when I have real, authentic characters, it seems as if the story tells itself. I just ask "what would this person do?" and they "tell" me. When I have dull characters, or have a peril or situation that is not challenging enough for that character, that is when I have difficulties. So look at your characters and ask yourself if there is something you could do to give them more depth and authenticity. If you characters are good, then perhaps your conflict is not a big enough challenge for them.
