There are plenty of replies, and no, the site's not a scam. I've been here for a little over 5 years and I've learned a lot from this site. Some people tend to prefer talking in email than on forums though, or so, that's the case with me. Unless I really get into a convo. A lot of others usually frequent the Instant Messenger as well.
