RIDING THE WRITERS' WAVE

In keeping with your July Newsletter, I’d like to announce that my latest effort, "Invalid Item"  , is in its second, reviewable, draft. Did your novel research say what to do when a short story idea explodes far beyond projected word count forcing its author to become an accidental novelist?

I hoped to purge some of my recent research on human trafficking into a novelette length (5-15K) entry for the "Troublesome Musings"  [18+] contest. I should have known better. Trafficking requires multiple locations (My subject follows the reverse course of Tirana, Bulgaria – various cities, Belgrade, Odessa and Ankara), and each locations introduces more characters. That’s how a longer short story balloons to 49K.

Now that it is mostly over, it is time to start reviewing again. First, I’m going to add some rules to the Manifesto. I think I’ll post the new rules here, in your forum, since you were kind enough to feature it in one of your e-mails.
